Step 1 — Place both earbuds in the charging case

Whether you replaced an earbud or the charging case itself, make sure both earbuds and the case are together before starting the pairing process.

Step 2 — Remove WF-1000XM6 from Bluetooth

Open your device's Bluetooth Settings. Find your Sony WF-1000XM6 and select Forget Device or Remove Device.

Step 3 — Charge if needed

If the earbuds or charging case have a low battery, place both earbuds in the charging case and charge for at least 30 minutes before continuing.

Step 4 — Initialize the earbuds

Place both earbuds in the charging case and leave the lid open.

Press and hold the Initialize Button on the back of the charging case for approximately 15 seconds.

When the indicator light begins flashing orange, release the button within 5 seconds.

Green light flashes 4 times: The earbuds have been successfully initialized and are ready to pair.

No green flashes: Charge the case and repeat the initialization process.

Step 5 — Connect your Sony WF-1000XM6

Place both earbuds in the charging case and leave the lid open.

Press and hold the Pairing Button on the back of the charging case for approximately 5 seconds until the indicator flashes blue.

Open your device's Bluetooth Settings and select WF-1000XM6 from the list of available devices.

You can also use the Sony Sound Connect app to complete setup and customize your earbuds.

Optional — Initialize Again

If your Sony WF-1000XM6 still aren't pairing correctly, repeat the initialization process and try pairing again.
