Step 1 — Place both earbuds in the charging case
Whether you replaced an earbud or the charging case itself, make sure both earbuds and the case are together before starting the pairing process.
Step 2 — Remove your Galaxy Buds from Bluetooth
Open Settings → Connections → Bluetooth. Find your Galaxy Buds, tap the gear icon, and select Unpair or Forget Device.
Step 3 — Charge if needed
If the earbuds or charging case have a low battery, place both earbuds in the case, close the lid, and charge for at least 30 minutes before continuing.
Step 4 — Synchronize the earbuds
Open the charging case with both earbuds inside. Press and hold the button on the bottom of the charging case for 7–20 seconds.
Blue flashing light: The earbuds have successfully synchronized and are ready to pair.
Red flashing light: The earbuds did not synchronize correctly. Remove both earbuds, reinsert them into the charging case, then repeat the synchronization process.
Note: Holding the button for more than 20 seconds may reset the earbuds.
Step 5 — Connect your Galaxy Buds
Close & reopen the case and press and hold the Connect button on the bottom for more than 3 seconds. This action will automatically put the earbuds into Bluetooth pairing mode, triggering a pop-up window on your mobile device. Otherwise, go into your Bluetooth settings and select the Samsung Galaxy Buds.
Alternate Method — Reset Your Galaxy Buds
If your Galaxy Buds still aren't pairing after following the steps above, try resetting them and repeat the pairing process.
Optional — Update Firmware
After pairing is complete, you can open the Galaxy Wearable app and check for updates under Earbuds Settings → Earbuds Software Update. Installing updates may improve performance and compatibility.
